Sealing the builder's pavers
Weslyn Park, Del Webb Sunbridge, Nova Grove and Bridgewalk homes come with paver driveways that were never sealed and whose joints were filled with regular sand. By the second summer the joints have ants and weeds and the surface has the white efflorescence haze every new concrete paver sheds during its first rainy season. The first seal, done right, is: wait for the efflorescence to finish (60 to 90 days), clean it with an efflorescence cleaner, re-sand with polymeric sand installed dry and vibrated in, then two thin coats of sealer on a dry deck (full process). On rental-heavy and pool-side surfaces we add an anti-slip additive.
Rust, wells and the sealer choice
East and south of the city utility area most homes irrigate from wells, and the iron in that water oxidizes on pavers as orange streaks along the sprinkler arc within weeks. Sealer type: a penetrating, breathable product on travertine and on pavers that have haze problems; a film-forming acrylic where the wet look is wanted and the deck dries fully. Should I seal the pavers the builder installed?
Yes, once the efflorescence has run its course, which is 60 to 90 days after installation. Sealing before that traps the white haze under the film. The builder's regular joint sand should be replaced with polymeric at the same visit; that is what stops the ants and weeds that show up in the first summer.

Well water is the local complication
Outside the city utility service area, most St. Cloud homes irrigate from a well, and Central Florida well water carries iron. The orange arc that follows the sprinkler across a paver driveway is rust, and it will come back through a fresh sealer if the water keeps hitting the same spot. So on a well-irrigated property we do the sequence in this order: clean and treat the iron staining, re-sand, seal, and then talk about the sprinkler heads, because the cheapest permanent fix is usually an irrigation tech moving two heads.

Timing a sealing visit around the weather
Sealing needs a dry surface, a dry joint and a rain-free window after application. Between June and September at the Kissimmee 2 station there are fifteen to eighteen days a month with measurable rain, most of it after two in the afternoon, which leaves a workable morning window but very little margin if the field is large. So we schedule sealing work in the drier half of the year where the customer can wait, and where they cannot, we split the job: clean and re-sand on one visit, seal on a settled morning.
The failure we are called to fix is a sealer applied to a field that was still damp in the joints, which turns milky within days and has to be stripped. Waiting two days is cheaper than stripping.
